Leveraging AI to Combat Claims Fraud

In this video, Appriss Retail’s Chief Data Scientist David Speights, PhD, details how one retailer used the AI-powered Appriss Linking System to determine that 10% of their adjustment dollars came from 1.1% of consumers who had 6 or more order claims in one year. Using this understanding of its consumers’ activity, the retailer adopted new processes, guidelines, and recommendations to give the customer service team the ability to identify and deny probable fraudulent claims as they happen.
