Krishnan serves as the president of Appriss Retail and is responsible for all aspects of The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic’s operations.
Krish joined Appriss in 2013 as EVP of Products and has spearheaded several key initiatives. He formed Appriss Health and led the team from an early stage startup to a market leader. He drove the growth of MobilePatrol into a community-based public safety mobile app with a multi-million user community. He is currently working on the next set of opportunities to leverage Appriss’ data and analytics capabilities.
Prior to Appriss, Krish spent 10 years in senior P&L and product roles at Privia Health and SHPS Inc., both pioneers in the healthcare industry. He led the development of a cloud-based population health and healthcare benefits administration platform to drive consumer-driven health strategies for SHPS that was used to manage the health and wellbeing of several million beneficiaries.
His prior work includes the development of a platforms for mobile computing, and enterprise information at BEA Systems. Prior to that, he led the development of the first Portal-as-a-Service platform at Abilizer Solutions (acquired by BEA). Previously he was with BCG, and held multiple engineering roles at Unisys Corporation.
Krish has an M.B.A. with honors from The Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelors in Engineering (Hons.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani, India.

Nathan Smith is a co-founder of Sysrepublic. and is responsible for delivering and supporting solutions for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic’s US clients.
Starting his Career in Safeway in the UK, Nathan has worked for several high-profile retailers such as Marks & Spencer and Tesco, performing roles as diverse as cashier, store manager, and enterprise software architect. This broad range of retail experience and knowledge enables Nathan to have great insight into the challenges facing retailers today.
Nathan has a degree in Information Technology for Business and over the last decade has presented at major retail events and trade shows around the globe highlighting how technology can be used more effectively to deliver value for retail businesses.

As a co-founder of Sysrepublic, and is responsible for delivering and supporting solutions for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic’s EMEA clients.
Philip has had a wide career in both Hospitality and Retail IT. Over the last 15 years Philip has helped many major retailers. He worked extensively with Tesco assisting them in developing their Global Integration team and delivering the Tesco Operating Model – the pattern of the Tesco business process that has been implemented globally. He has also worked on major integration projects at Signet Jewellers, Mitchells and Butlers as well as other integration, Loss Prevention, PCI DSS and line of business solutions for Sainsbury’s, Asda Walmart, Marks and Spencer, HMV, AVIS, IKEA, Travis Perkins and many others.
Before starting Sysrepublic, Philip worked at Marks and Spencer as a key member of the Integration Services team as well as the Customer Insight Unit. Prior to Marks & Spencer, Philip worked for several major Hospitality companies including Compass, Roux Brothers, Marriott Hotels and Holiday Inn. Prior to this he served in the British Army.

Peter Bradshaw is the chief technology officer for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic. He manages the company’s development, MIS and customer service teams, ensuring support for each of its clients.
Prior to joining The Retail Equation, Bradshaw held executive positions at Bell Telephone Laboratories, TRW, Xerox and Document Sciences Corporation. He has been responsible for the development and delivery of numerous software products and has successfully led product development in both large and startup organizations.
Bradshaw holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles in addition to a master’s degree in Computer, Information and Control Engineering from the University of Michigan.
As a co-founder of Sysrepublic, Jerry Boersma responsible for the vision, design & development of our software products.
After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, Jerry has had the privilege over the last 15 years of working with major organizations including Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Mitchells & Butlers, EMI and Signet amongst others. Delivering projects ranging from Global Integration Infrastructures to large scale business intelligence solutions, Jerry has gained a tremendous amount of field experience and a deep understanding of what companies need from software and solutions.
Jerry is passionate about building great software and has a strong belief in product innovation and setting new standards when it comes delivering software that empowers users and delivers real value to businesses.

Mark Hilinski is co-founder of The Retail Equation and currently serves as executive vice president of Business Development and Strategic Accounts for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic. In this role, Hilinski is responsible for strategic account management, new business development, and building and maintaining relationships with customers and partners.
He has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to The Retail Equation, Hilinski was vice president of client relations for Risk Data Corporation/HNC Software, now currently FICO, where he was responsible for new product launches, business development and all revenue retention. Previously, he was with Genex managed health services. Hilinski earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Dr. David Speights is the chief data scientist for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic. He has more than 20 years of experience developing and deploying analytical solutions for some of the world’s largest companies. Throughout his career, he has managed massive amounts of data using big data tools. Currently, he is responsible for analytical modeling and managing POS data from more than 25 national retailers (equating to more than 100 million rows of new data daily). He has been with The Retail Equation since 2000.
Prior to joining the company, Speights was first vice president of Mortgage Credit Risk Modeling at Washington Mutual and chief statistician at HNC Software. He is often asked to consult on projects within a number of industries. Speights holds a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from the University of California, Los Angeles and has several patents.
Robert Walters is the senior vice president of Sales for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic. In this position, he is responsible for managing the sales team efforts for the company.
Prior to joining The Retail Equation, he served as the vice president of Sales for IntelliVid. Before joining IntelliVid, he was the executive vice president of Sales and Marketing for Datavantage, a software development/service company and subsidiary of Micros Systems, Inc. Walters also held executive positions with both Callos Technology Partners and Entre Consulting. Walters holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Youngstown State University.
Chris D’Amore is the senior vice president of Sales for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic. Chris has been actively involved in professional sales and management for more than 20 years.
Prior to joining Sysrepublic, Chris owned and operated a successful third party sales and marketing consulting firm in California. He held the position of a Managing Director with State Street Bank Corporation, and managed both their Canadian and West Coast Operations.
He served as the Chief Operating Officer for Emerging Growth Management in San Francisco, a $1 billion investment management company and has held numerous sales and management positions in his career.
Tom Rittman is the vice president of Marketing for The Retail Equation/Sysrepublic. In this role, he is responsible for the organization’s branding, demand generation, marketing research and communications, as well as product marketing and business development.
Prior to joining The Retail Equation, Rittman served as the vice president of marketing for Datavantage, the retail technology subsidiary of Micros Systems Inc., where he was responsible for the organization’s marketing strategy, development and execution. Before joining Datavantage, he held various marketing leadership positions with TMW Systems and Roadway Express.
Rittman serves on the National Retail Federation’s associate member council, a committee designed to address the needs of the organization’s growing associate member base. Rittman holds his bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Akron.

As a co-founder of Sysrepublic, David West has worked with a wide variety of retailers, hospitality and entertainment companies including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda Walmart, Marks and Spencer, Metro, Migros, Superdrug, B&Q, Safeway, Iceland Frozen Foods, Harrods, Warner Brothers, Mitchell’s and Butlers, HMV and Sears Mexico.
Between 1999 and 2002, David was a Consultant within the Award Winning Integration Services team at Marks and Spencer.Prior to Marks and Spencer, David was a Retail Technology Consultant at Dimenica Ltd for 2 years focusing on Microsoft technologies.
David started his career in 1988 at POST Software International (PSI), the pioneers behind PC technology in retail and the ARTS data model. Over 7 years, David’s roles spanned product development, design and architecture.
