RETAIL TRADE ASSOCIATIONS

Appriss Retail is committed to the retail industry and is active in leading retail organizations

National Retail Federation

NRF is the world’s largest retail trade association, representing discount and department stores, home goods and specialty stores, Main Street merchants, grocers, wholesalers, chain restaurants and Internet retailers from the United States and more than 45 countries. Retail is the nation’s largest private sector employer, supporting one in four U.S. jobs – 42 million working Americans. Contributing $2.6 trillion to annual GDP, retail is a daily barometer for the nation’s economy.

Retail Industry Leaders Association

The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) is best defined by the companies we represent: America’s leading retailers. RILA proudly counts nine of the top 10 U.S. retailers as members. RILA members also hold the top spot among key retail segments including: apparel, consumer electronics, department stores, home improvement, large format and small format, demonstrating that RILA is truly the association for ‘retail leaders’. In fact, no trade association represents more top retailers than RILA.

Retail Council of Canada

Retail Council of Canada (RCC) has been the Voice of Retail in Canada since 1963. We speak for an industry that touches the daily lives of Canadians in every corner of the country — by providing jobs, career opportunities, and by investing in the communities we serve. RCC is a not-for-profit, industry-funded association representing more than 45,000 store fronts of all retail formats across Canada, including department, specialty, discount, and independent stores, and online merchants.

Loss Prevention Foundation

The Loss Prevention Foundation (LPF) is an international leader in educating and certifying retail loss prevention and asset protection professionals. LPF’s mission is to advance the retail loss prevention and asset protection profession by providing relevant, convenient, and challenging educational resources. It is responsible for administering the retail industry’s only internationally sanctioned certifications: LPQualified (LPQ) and LPCertified (LPC).

Loss Prevention Research Council

The Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC) uses fact-based research to develop crime and loss control solutions that improve the performance of its members and the retail industry. Our research involves industry publications, research literature, our members, innovative suppliers, academia, and in-house data. We evaluate a wide arrange of ideas and select those with the highest payoff potential as initiatives for field assessment. The LPRC explores, develops, and measures the loss reduction and financial impact of these initiatives using scientific methods.
